UTP invites public to join Technology, Education and Career fair

IPOH, Sept 12 (Bernama) — The Technology, Education and Career (TEC) fair is back and will be held physically at the Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) campus in Seri Iskandar on  Sept 14 and 15.

UTP, in a statement today, said TEC is an annual career fair organised by UTP students with the support of the university’s Student Affairs Division. It is open to the public and admission is free.

“Since its inception in 2001, TEC has served as a platform for students from all over Malaysia to explore internship and career opportunities while gaining exposure to local and multinational companies.

“With the tagline ‘Unveiling Hidden Talents’, TEC22 provides an ideal environment for future graduates to engage and connect with corporate leaders and industry professionals, and at the same time, equip themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to face the career world, through career talks and pre-employment workshops,” it said.

According to the statement, TEC22 has collaborated with over 30 companies to organise virtual career fairs, career talks and campus interviews that exposed students to numerous job opportunities for the past few months.

“This year, more than 50 major companies, including one from Singapore, from multiple industries will be participating with more than 1,000 job opportunities (available). TEC22 will gather top prospective employers in one venue, such as Petronas, Micron Malaysia, Cahya Mata Sarawak, Schlumberger, ExxonMobil Malaysia and Nestle.

“Visitors at the fair may apply directly and learn more about prospective careers from various companies. They can also submit their resumes and attend walk-in interviews during the fair,” it said.
