JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 14 (Bernama) — The region status accorded to Sabah and Sarawak clearly shows that the Unity Government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is paying attention to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
Sabah Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif said it was another positive step in realising MA63.
“Alhamdulillah from time to time, the federal government is seen to be very concerned about matters in MA63,” he told reporters after the Wam2Care Programme with 300 students from Sabah here today.
Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said Sabah and Sarawak have been accorded the status of region and are no longer regarded as states within Malaysia.
