PTPTN CONTRIBUTES RM40,000 TO ASSIST 200 ORPHANS IN SELANGOR

The National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) today donated RM40,000 to Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE) to assist 200 selected orphans in Selangor.

Receiving the contributions from PTPTN chief executive officer Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid was the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (on behalf of YIDE) during a programme held at the Hidayah Al-Hijrah Orphanage in Hulu Langat near here.

YIDE chairman, Tan Sri Mazlan Mansor said each orphan will receive RM150 cash and another RM50 will be deposited into their respective SSPN Prime Savings Account.

At the function, PTPTN also received RM60,550 as donation from Central Sugars Refinery Sdn Bhd as additional savings under SSPN savings for about 900 orphans from 23 orphanages under YIDE.

Meanwhile, PTPTN also donated RM5,000 to the Hidayah Al-Hijrah Orphanage to repair damaged infrastructure, equip the orphanage with learning aids and also to settle the utility bill.

At the function, Tengku Amir Shah donated 100 kilogrammes of rice to the orphanage before meeting the orphans and distributing ‘duit raya’.
