Guidelines on privileges for fully vaccinated in Sarawak awaiting approval – JPBN

Guidelines on the relaxation of restrictions for fully vaccinated individuals will be implemented as soon as the new standard operating procedures (SOP) are approved by the Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN).

JPBN in a statement today said it took note of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s announcement yesterday regarding the privileges for individuals who had been fully vaccinated.

“Sarawak also takes into account the benefits of full vaccination and welcomes the role they can play played towards the mental and physical health of the people as well as on the country’s economic activities,” the statement said.

It said existing SOPs will still be in force until the ones under Phase Three of the National Recovery Plan (PPN) for Sarawak are gazetted.

A total of 589 new COVID-19 cases were recorded today bringing Sarawak’s cumulative total to 81,917 cases, with three new deaths reported, taking the state’s death toll to 471
