FBM KLCI futures end lower

KUALA LUMPUR, The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.

At the close, August 2021 declined 13.5 points to 1,511.0, September 2021 eased 12.5 points to 1,499.5, December 2021 fell 7.5 points to 1,491.0, and March 2022 trimmed 11 point to 1,480.0.

Turnover went down to 6,295 lots from 7,943 lots on Wednesday, while open interest decreased to 38,350 contracts from 39,969 contracts yesterday.

The FBM KLCI fell by 10.29 points or 0.67 per cent to end the day at 1,514.95 from Wednesday’s close of 1,525.24.
