Bangkok-bound PAL flight returns to NAIA due to technical issue


MANILA: Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight bound for Bangkok, Thailand returned to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) due to a technical issue, the flag carrier said Wednesday.

“PAL confirms that (flight) PR730 (to Bangkok) returned to Manila due to a technical issue with the aircraft,” spokesperson Cielo Villaluna told the Philippine News Agency.

She said the flight took off at 10:02 a.m., and returned at 10:20 a.m.

As of 2:15 p.m., Villaluna said all the 259 passengers would be accommodated on the next available Bangkok flight today.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. The safety of our passengers remains a top priority,” she said.
