KUCHING, Aug 4 (Bernama) — Excitement over the Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia (JAKM), or Malaysian Family Aspirations Tour, in Sarawak is fast building up, with less than 24 hours to go before the event kicks off at Dataran Perayaan Petra Jaya.
Checks by Bernama found that staff of public service agencies as well as logistics and technical personnel involved have been busy making final preparations to ensure the smooth organisation of the event, which will be held from tomorrow until Sunday.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg are expected to officiate at the closing ceremony of the JAKM programme.
The tour is based on the concept of inclusiveness, togetherness and gratitude by depicting the integrity of the country which is tied to the perfect education value in a family, with the Keluarga Malaysia phrase considered more inclusive as it cuts across religion and race.
During the three-day tour, various events and activities have been lined up with the involvement of 28 public service agencies which will provide assistance and services.
Based on the programme issued, the tour will feature a lucky draw, business matching, Keluarga Malaysia Career Guarantee Carnival, ‘Darul Hanna’ Zikir Night, Keluarga Malaysia Sales, SME Entrepreneur Sales, E-Sport, People’s Sports, Cita Rasa Keluarga Malaysia, food trucks, Sihat Keluarga Malaysia and Keluarga Malaysia Health Run.
In addition, there will be stalls selling products of small and medium enterprises (SME) entrepreneurs and other local entrepreneurs.
