KOTA BHARU, Aug 4 (Bernama) — The Keluarga Malaysia Merdeka Convoy 2022 (KMKM 2022) in Kelantan will involve 65 high-powered motorcycles and vehicles from 10 departments and agencies including under the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM).
State Information Department director Muhd Nor Aswadi Md Nor said the two-day convoy, held in conjunction with the National Month celebration, would start its journey in Kelantan on Tuesday.
On the first day (Aug 9), soon after the passing of baton by Perak representative, the KMKM 2022 would begin its journey from Jeli before heading towards Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas and Kota Bharu, he said.
“On Aug 10, from Kota Bharu, we will be heading towards Machang before ending the ride in Pasir Puteh. The baton then will be handed over to the next state, Terengganu.
“At each checkpoint, we work closely with the land and district offices, including Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family) community in Kelantan by distributing Jalur Gemilang at identified areas,” he told reporters after the launching of the state-level 2022 National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang ceremony here today.
The event was launched by Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob.
Elaborating further, Muhd Nor Aswadi said the KMKM 2022 initiative could nurture the spirit of patriotism among the community, especially the people of Kelantan.
“We hope the community can support the efforts of federal and state governments to instill the love for the nation,” he added.
