The RMN Headquarters’ Strategic Communications Branch in a statement said Mohd Reza, who took the helm of the RMN on Nov 30, 2018, will retire on Aug 13 after 42 years of service.

The statement said that during his tenure as Navy chief, he focused on the preparedness of the RMN fleet to carry out its duties of defending the sovereignty of the nation’s maritime borders without compromise, despite facing various constraints and challenging global situations.

S’gor Land and Mines Office reviewing construction of resorts on agricultural land

SHAH ALAM, Jan 26 (Bernama) — The Selangor government, through the Selangor Land and Mines Office will review the construction of resorts on agricultural land throughout the state.

Its director Dr Yusri Zakariah said this would be carried out in a committee with several related agencies under the purview of the Selangor State Economic Planning Unit.

“Apart from Batang Kali, several areas in Kalumpang, Hulu Selangor and around Hulu Langat have a lot of agricultural lands used to run homestays while selling agricultural produce cultivated on them.

“In terms of the position of the land, the local authority and the District and Land Office can determine the condition of the land, whether it is good or not,” he said after a handover ceremony following renovations of the Selangor Land and Mines Office here today.

On Dec 21 last year, State Local Government, Public Transport and New Village Development Standing Committee chairman Ng Sze Han said Father’s Organic Farm in Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor only had planning permission to carry out organic farming activities.
