Mechamato theme song ‘Temaniku’ gaining traction on music platforms

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) — ‘Temaniku’, the theme of the animation film Mechamato released by Animonsta Studios Sdn Bhd (Monsta) has been streamed 8,000 times since it was released on several online music platforms on Nov 18.

 

Monsta in a statement today said the song sung by popular singer and songwriter Muhammad Haqeem Nuriman Nor Azrin, or better known as Yonnyboii, was released on platforms such as Spotify, JOOX, Apple Music, KKBOX, Deezer and iTunes Store.

 

Its chief operating officer Kee Yong Pin expressed excitement at being able to work with an influential singer who has tuned into the vibe of today’s younger generation.

 

 

 

“Coming together to achieve a common goal is the biggest message and inspiration for this theme song. Whether it is the strong bond among friends, family, team or special someone, this song has a message that is suitable for all,” he said.

 

He added that the song was co-created with composer Fitri Zain and published by Universal Music Malaysia and Monsta.

 

“Also watch the lyrics of the ‘Temaniku’ video on the Monsta YouTube Channel,” said Kee, adding that the screening of ‘Mechamato Movie’ produced by Monsta and Astro Shaw would be screened in cinemas nationwide from Dec 8.

 

 

 

According to Monsta, ‘Temaniku’ is the third original song co-produced by Monsta after the song ‘Fire & Water’ sung by Faizal Tahir from the movie BoBoiBoy Movie 2 (2019) and ‘Masih Di Sini’ sung by Bunkface from the movie BoBoiBoy The Movie (2016).

 

“Mechamato Movie is the third film in the Monsta Heroes 3D animation franchise produced by Monsta over the past decade,” it said.

Perlis: Newly appointed exco members told to focus on development, forget differences

ARAU, Nov 25 (Bernama) — The Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail has asked the state executive council members appointed today and elected representatives who won the 15th General Election to focus on development in the state and forget their political differences.

 

The Perlis Ruler urged all parties to focus their time and energy on economic development to face global economic uncertainty.

 

“We need to focus on the economy to quickly recover like other states during the global economic collapse,” he said at the appointment and swearing-in ceremony for the members of the state executive council at Istana Arau today.

 

 

 

Also present was Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.

 

Earlier, six State Legislative Assembly members consisting of four PAS assemblymen and two Bersatu assemblymen were sworn in before Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin.

 

He also advised those appointed today to protect the good name of the state.

 

 

 

“The people will always be watching, so set a good example all the time and avoid doing things that the people despise such as corruption,” he said.

 

The Ruler also asked the new government to continue the development projects carried out by the previous government for the welfare of the Perlis people.

Anwar a great friend of Palestine, says PCOM

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) — The Palestinian Cultural Organisation Malaysia (PCOM) has extended its congratulatory message to the newly appointed Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, saying the latter’s genuine support of the legitimate rights of Palestinians have always been appreciated and valued.

 

Chairman of PCOM, Muslim Imran, in a statement said the organisation looks forward to working with Anwar not only to develop closer relations between the two countries but also to concert efforts in the cause of peace and the friendship of people from both countries.

 

“We wish you all the success as you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your new position.

 

 

 

 

“We commend you for your willingness to serve the public and lead the nation to a brighter and better future,” said Muslim in his congratulatory message to Anwar.

 

Muslim said Anwar has always been supportive of the Palestinian people and been a great friend of Palestine, adding his long and arduous journey to reach this well-deserved position inspired the Palestinians.

 

“We can relate substantially as we continue struggling to get our freedom and striving to liberate our country.

 

 

 

 

The PCOM also highlighted the importance of further expansion of the multifaceted collaboration between Palestine and Malaysia based on extraordinary relations, support, and brotherhood.

 

“We wish Your Excellency (Anwar) and the friendly people of Malaysia good health, new successes, peace, stability, progress, and prosperity,” said Muslim.

Sabah backs unity gov’t for stability, people’s wellbeing

KOTA KINABALU, Nov 25 (Bernama) — Sabah’s support and participation in the unity government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will ensure stability and the wellbeing of its people, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said.

 

He said the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Barisan Nasional (BN)-led state government wants to focus on reviving the state economy and developing the state to realise its five-year Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) plan.

 

“We (GRS-BN) have three more years to govern Sabah. We don’t want (matters) to be overly politicised or our plans disrupted because for us it is in the interests of the people and the state,” the GRS chairman told reporters after tabling the state Budget 2023 at the Sabah Legislative Assembly here today.

 

 

 

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, meanwhile, said the state government wants the concept of a unity government to be practised in the state so that its people can enjoy economic prosperity and equal development.

 

Bung Moktar, who is also Sabah BN chairman, welcomes any party in the state to join the unity government in an effort to ensure the prosperity of the country’s administration which he added will drive economic recovery and protect the people’s interests.

 

As for Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Christina Liew, GRS’ willingness to join and support the formation of a unity government is seen as the best step for the development and benefit of the people of Sabah.

 

 

 

Liew said PH would wait for a meeting with GRS leaders to discuss various related matters that could be worked together.

 

Parti Warisan (Warisan) president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Afdal, meanwhile is confident that the unity government is a stable one capable of restoring the country’s economy.

 

On talks that he will be offered a senior position in the Cabinet, Mohd Shafie denied knowing anything about the matter but said: “I will meet Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in the near future for discussions.”

 

Anwar, in a press conference on the first day of official duty in Putrajaya today said the unity government under his leadership has achieved a two-thirds majority with the latest participation by GRS.

Selangor announces special financial aid, incentive for civil servants

SHAH ALAM, Nov 25 (Bernama) —  The Selangor government today announced special financial assistance (BKK) of two-and-a-half months’ salary to all qualified and serving civil servants in the state government’s administration this year.

 

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari when presenting the budget in the Selangor state assembly today said the aid also includes state government administration staff whose salaries are paid by the federal government.

 

He said the first part of the BKK comprising one month’s salary, with an RM1,000 minimum had been settled through the Insentif Khas Rahmah Ramadan 2022 in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

 

 

 

The second part of the BKK, of one month’s salary, with an RM1,000 minimum, will be paid on Dec 29, incurring the state an estimated financial implication of RM37.63 million, said Amirudin.

 

“The third BKK payment, with an incentive of half a month’s salary, and also with a minimum of RM1,000 will be paid in February 2023 to ease the burden of civil servants, especially to cover the 2023/2024 school session expenses,” he said.

 

Amirudin also said the granting of the BKK was implemented based on the terms and conditions to be issued by the Human Resources Development division.

 

 

 

“Some people are still wondering if there will be any more BKK for Aidilfitri later, I will say God willing but the date is a secret and the amount is also a secret,” he added.

Perlis MB announces portfolios for six executive council members

KANGAR, Nov 25 (Bernama) — Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli has announced the portfolios of all six members of the state executive council who were sworn in before Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail at Istana Arau today.

 

He said the number of exco members had been reduced to six from eight members during the previous government to further improve performance as well as to curtail the state government’s expenditure.

 

“Hopefully the exco members can be a great team to help me administer the new Perikatan Nasional government in the state,” Mohd Shukri said at a press conference at the Menteri Besar Office after the swearing-in ceremony.

 

 

 

Mohd Shukri said he would also helm the Administration and Finance; Investment and International Trade; Economic Planning and Industrial Development; Land Affairs and Natural Resources; Security and Public Order as well as Development of New Growth Centre portfolios.

International Indigenous Arts Festival 2022 showcases culture from various countries

KUANTAN, Nov 25 (Bernama) — The 2022 International Indigenous Arts Festival highlights the ethnic and cultural uniqueness of indigenous communities from several countries including Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Mauritius.

 

For Malaysia, it showcased the arts and culture of Orang Asli from the Semelai tribe from Pahang, Mahmeri (Selangor) and Seletar (Johor) as well people from Sabah and Sarawak.

 

The Regent of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah launched the festival and visited the exhibition booths at Kuantan 188 here today.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN) said in a statement that the festival aimed at highlighting the uniqueness of various ethnicities, and the culture of indigenous people from various countries and foster a spirit of unity through cultural arts.

 

The two-day festival, which started yesterday, was also enlivened with exhibitions and sales of handicrafts such as mengkuang baskets and mats, hand-carved products, herbs and traditional tools.
