’50 Golden Finites’ features collection of gold paintings valued at up to US$2 million

KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 (Bernama) — Aureo Gallery is hosting a showcase of the world’s only 24-karat gold artist Kim Il Tae’s artworks entitled “50 Golden Finites” from today until May 29.

The exhibition at Boathouse, Tasik Ampang features an exclusive collection of gold paintings valued at up to US$2 million (US$1=RM4.38) and rising.

Aureo Gallery founder Serena Chiam said the unveiling of Kim’s intricate masterpieces seeks to enthral Aureo Gallery’s prestigious art collectors and prospects.

“Six of Kim’s timeless golden chef-d’œuvres are on display prominently in the Dome area, accompanied by enchanting light projections and performances. Smaller paintings such as the Golden Horse and Tree of Abundance are being showcased at the Glasshouse,” Chiam said after the unveiling ceremony here today.

She said two glamorous brands – luxury camera manufacturer Leica and Mercedes-Benz dealer Hap Seng Star – are featured alongside this exhibition, with the former holding a product presentation and photography workshop in the Dome area and Hap Seng Star displaying an S-Class and offering EQA’s test drive to their most loyal customers.

“Following these timeless brands, Aureo Gallery will join the pedestal of opulence and elevate Kim Il Tae’s exquisite oeuvres in the world of art,” she said.

Under the Aureo Empowerment Movement, a portion of sales from Kim’s gold paintings will be given to charity organisations dedicated to helping vulnerable communities, including Fugee School, Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia and A-HEART.

“Aureo Gallery strives to give back to the community that has so long been its home,” said Chiam.

Ismail Sabri meets Japanese counterpart, proposes upgrading ties

TOKYO, May 27 (Bernama) — Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob met his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida here on Friday and proposed that Malaysia-Japan ties be upgraded to comprehensive strategic partnership (CSP).

In the meeting at the Kantei, the Japanese Prime Minister’s Office, Ismail Sabri, accompanied by a high-profile delegation, held bilateral talks with Kishida to strengthen the long-established Malaysia-Japan relationship.

This is the first face-to-face meeting between Ismail Sabri and Kishida on bilateral talks since they assumed their posts in 2021.

Ismail Sabri and Kishida had earlier held the Japan-Malaysia conference via telephone on April 20 this year, which saw the two leaders touching on various regional and international issues.

“We wish to propose upgrading our ties from strategic partnership to comprehensive strategic partnership,” said Ismail Sabri at the bilateral meeting.

Malaysia-Japan ties had been upgraded from enhanced partnership to strategic partnership in 2015.

The meeting was held in conjunction with Ismail Sabri’s official working visit to Japan, during which he participated in the 27th International Conference on the Future of Asia, an annual gathering of political, economic and industry leaders from the Asia-Pacific, and met with business and corporate figures in Japan to attract investments to Malaysia.

Kishida was also playing host to a Malaysian prime minister for the first time after he was appointed Japan’s Prime Minister in October last year.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Look East Policy, which has contributed greatly to strengthening bilateral ties between Malaysia and Japan.

Malaysia, Japan finalise three MoCs in Tokyo

TOKYO, May 27 (Bernama) — Malaysia and Japan finalised three memoranda of cooperation (MoC) related to the aircraft industry, skilled workers as well youth and sports here today.

The exchange of the MOCs took place at the Kantei, or the Prime Minister’s Office of Japan, and was witnessed by Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida.

Ismail Sabri and Kishida had earlier met to discuss important issues in Malaysia-Japan relations in conjunction with the Malaysian Prime Minister’s official working visit to Japan.

On the Malaysian side, the exchange of MOCs was led by the International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) for the aircraft industry, the Human Resources Ministry for skilled workers and the Youth and Sports Ministry for youth and sports matters.

Senior Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the aircraft industry MoC was a collaboration between Malaysia and Japan to strengthen aerospace activities.

Among the activities that would be involved are maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) as well as aerospace downstream activities.

“It will provide an opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to be involved in the supply chain of the industry,” he told Malaysian journalists.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri S.Saravanan said the MoC led by his ministry was related to sending Malaysian specified skilled workers to Japan.

Through the MoC, over 1,000 Malaysians will have the opportunity to gain work experience in Japan and if the programme proved to be effective, discussions will be held with the Japanese government to increase the number of Malaysian participants, he said.

“It gives Malaysians the opportunity to gain experience and expertise in Japan for a period of time and when they return they will be able to contribute to related industries in Malaysia,” Saravanan said.

Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, meanwhile said the MOC undertaken by the ministry is related to youth exchange and development as well as sports.

Also discussed was cooperation in areas such as volunteer training for disasters such as floods, and also volunteerism in international sporting events, with Japan leading by example after hosting the Olympic Games in challenging conditions.

Japan was the host of the 2020 Olympic Games, but the prestigious sporting event had to be rescheduled to July last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tokyo 2020 created history after being the first Olympic games to have no official spectators.

Commercial Vehicle Group Inc. (CVG) Resumes Operations in Shanghai, China, After COVID Interruption

CVG is one of many businesses affected by the large-scale government lock-downs in Shanghai that began in March as a result of rising COVID-19 cases

NEW ALBANY, Ohio, May 26, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CVG announced on Thursday that it has restarted operations at its Shanghai plant in China. In March, the company became one of thousands of manufacturers in the region that were forced to halt production as the result of restrictions aimed at stemming the spread of COVID-19.

Production at the Shanghai plant resumed on May 20 at 50% capacity under a “closed-loop” system — where employees must receive a negative COVID test and then live on-site within the factory — to minimize the risk of spreading the virus within the city.

CVG plans to continue ramping up production over the next few weeks in accordance with the local lifting of restrictions, led by Deputy Mayor of Shanghai Zong Ming, who has stated that the city hopes to fully open in June.

The shutdown in March had immediate impact on CVG’s OE seating customers in Asia and abroad, who were either facing similar manufacturing restrictions or unable to ship and receive products due to congestion in Shanghai’s port, which is the largest port in the world. CVG responded quickly, moving to air shipping to limit supply chain disruptions for its customers. The company was recently able to reinstate ocean freight through both the Shanghai and Ningbo ports.

“We may not have control over this pandemic or the delays in production it causes, but we can adapt quickly and create alternate solutions to mitigate the impacts,” said CVG President and CEO Harold Bevis. “We’ve had our customers’ needs front-of-mind in every decision we’ve made — from providing alternate means of shipping to working closely with some of our top customers to mirror production in our Thailand and Mexico operations in order to provide alternate supply.”

CVG’s local seat production in Asia includes the manufacturing of medium- and heavy-duty seating solutions for some of the region’s largest vehicle manufacturers and represents an $80 million accretive business for the company. Globally, seat-part supply from Shanghai impacts $170 million worth of production for the company within the U.S., Mexico, UK, Thailand and Australia.

In combination with the war in Ukraine which immediately impacted production at the company’s facility in L’viv, CVG faced first-quarter interruptions that have continued into the second quarter. CVG is actively resolving these setbacks and expects second-half operations to be back to pre-war, pre-COVID status, barring any new unforeseen events.

At CVG, we deliver real solutions to complex design, engineering and manufacturing problems across a range of global industries by innovating, constantly adding value, and treating our customer’s bottom line as if it were our own. Employer Branding Agency Launches Recruitment Tech Company

Happy Dance

Happy Dance

LIVERPOOL, England & NEW YORK, May 26, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Global Employer Brand Agency, Ph.Creative, has launched an exciting new recruitment technology company featuring a flagship enterprise-level careers website SaaS platform. ‘Happy Dance‘ is set to disrupt a sector that Ph.Creative believes has underinvested and overlooked careers websites in favor of larger technology products required to drive an end-to-end recruitment process.

“Happy Dance has evolved from the tools we use to fulfill the employer brand needs of our client partners,” says Jim Taylor MD, of the new enterprise. “We’ve been building engaging and responsive websites for years and realized there was a major gap in the market that we could fill: an enterprise-level SaaS that didn’t test the sanity of its users with less-than-adequate admin and positively zero design thinking.”

Happy Dance was originally built by Ph.Creative for its own use. “We’d perfected the system to the point where it was so intuitive, so easy to use, launching as a standalone just made sense. The existing options all come from big, back-end technology operators: they’re systems designed in the dark. By contrast, we’re from an agency world that’s purpose built to be responsive and accommodating. It’s what we do for a living, after all.”

“We’ve seen and heard so many horror stories from Employer Brand and Talent managers about systems they’d tied themselves into – the hidden costs, the clunky interfaces, the shockingly bad SEO and deathly slow load times,” continues Taylor. “We felt like we had to do something to help. I mean, why wouldn’t you?”

Happy Dance is a SaaS product, refined with input from 20+ F500 founding customers—including the likes of Dominos, DAZN, King Games and Tipico— and it is ready for launch.

“This tech is head and shoulders above anything else in the Talent Acquisition marketplace, and when you mix that with the world-class design capability, the results are a 10x improvement. I’ve used it in my last 2 companies, and I’d highly recommend it to TA Leaders serious about high performance.” Graeme Johnson, Talent Director of the Merlin Entertainment Group

Happy Dance offers talent attraction and brand leaders a flexible careers website design with all the features, functions, and integration options enterprise-level businesses need to manage the candidate experience at scale. In addition, the CMS (Content Management System) has a real next-generation capability to analyze and grade content for bias, sentiment and readability, as well as SEO; all built into the admin controls.

Users benefit from all the tricks learned from years in this sector. Happy Dance puts it all at their fingertips, maximizing the inclusivity, engagement and search engine performance of their careers website, without lengthy admin delays for updates. It’s about time!

“Our site was delivered on time, to specification and within budget—despite a tight timeline! The team really knocked it out the park.”  Nick Katsefaras, Enterprise Systems Manager, Dominos US.

SEO is nothing new to the world of marketing, yet it’s been slow to catch on significantly within recruitment marketing by comparison. It’s not down to education or understanding, it’s more likely due to the prohibitive constraints of existing career website platforms. What Happy Dance delivers is yet another innovative opportunity has been refined and fine-tuned as part of the Ph.Creative tool set – www.jobpagegrader.com.

Job Page Grader ranks a job description page according to several key criteria. It’s already freely available to anyone, delivering insights from over 100,000 submissions, collected over the last three years:

“This is big data used intelligently. It’s helped us to design a much better mousetrap,” said Bryan Adams, Founder and CEO of Ph. Creative.

The Happy Dance offering is a combination of SaaS technology with a concierge service:

  1. Get real design flexibility and say goodbye to the limitations imposed by restrictive templates
  2. Enjoy lightning-fast pages, that are 100% SEO ready, with 301 mapping to make sure they retain their search engine ranking
  3. Discover proper personalization, multilingual, quick-apply and mobile-first interface design
  4. Manage your own content, 24/7, so you aren’t waiting for an admin team in a warehouse on the other side of the world to respond to your change requests
  5. Discover pain-free implementation, delivered 100% ready to rock ‘n’ roll
  6. Get features and functions that elevate the experience and create first impressions that force candidates to apply.

According to Dave Hazlehurst, partner at Ph.Creative, the move into SaaS fits with the parent agency’s ‘experience by design’ business model: “In an industry that talks obsessively about the candidate experience, there’s been this gaping hole in the market when it came to enterprise-level business. Happy Dance is here to plug that gap.”

The feature list, which includes a tech development roadmap, prioritizes what talent and brand leaders really want. Happy Dance combines methods learned from empathetic listening with a real understanding of how candidates move through a website.

“This is a careers website product that delivers agency-style collaboration and a commitment to getting the basics right, with robust next-generation features at the scale only SaaS can offer. We think the current choices in the marketplace are somewhat incapable of delivering on the basics well, regardless of the odd whistle and bell that’s hyped. We’re looking forward to going head-to-head with our new competitors in what is now a really exciting space,” says Bryan Adams, CEO & Founder of Ph.Creative.

Ph.Creative, known as the ‘Defenders of Happiness’, say the product brand name, Happy Dance represents that ‘new careers website’ feeling they share when they design, configure and launch something special with each new client partner.

“I’ve seen multiple clients express pure joy and happiness when they realize they are never going to have to deal with the website technology they’d spent years struggling with. This makes us all want to do a little happy dance! added Paul Mason, Head of Digital Sales at Happy Dance.

Happy Dance is available for demonstration at www.happydance.love where you’ll also find case studies and information with regards to features, implementation processes and what Happy Dance customers have to say about this exciting new technology.
