JOJO Pet Taxi provides reliable taxi services for pets

KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (Bernama) — JOJO Pet launched Malaysia’s first-ever pet taxi app, JOJO Pet Taxi with a mission to support pet lovers in the country by providing reliable taxi services, especially in this fast-paced digital era.

In a statement today, JOJO Pet mentioned that it aims to provide convenience to pet owners with par excellence service so that owners do not have to worry about unnecessary traffic congestion and parking limitations.

According to JOJO Pet founder Seow Kim Chin, it has successfully trained Malaysia’s first batch of pet taxi drivers, and they are ready to assist pet owners to ferry their beloved furry friends for grooming appointments and more.

“The first batch of drivers have undergone a stringent inspection before they were allowed to attend the training. They have passed all required criteria and are now certified as a professional pet taxi driver,” he said.

Seow also assures pet owners that the JOJO Pet Taxi app is easily accessible via mobile phone and it is extremely easy to use.

Seow said JOJO Pet Taxi places passengers’ safety as its top priority as all transportations under the service are equipped with dash-cams, pet seatbelts, safety nets and seat covers with top-notch hygiene levels to ensure its passengers will enjoy a safe and comfortable journey.

“Pet owners who use our app can easily track the taxis that their pets are in to ensure they arrive at their destinations safely,” he said.

Seow said one notable essential skill that the pet taxi drivers gained through the training is performing first aid on pets should the need arise, so the owners’ minds will be at ease knowing that their pets are in good hands.

He also believes that JOJO Pet Taxi complements the current lifestyle of pet owners in Malaysia by providing excellent services for both the owners and pets, especially in this hectic era when time seems to be a precious commodity.

JOJO Pet advocates the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and positive mental well-being by providing a service that is necessary in the current times and takes away a predicament that is faced by many pet owners today.

With rapid expansion plans for in 2022, JOJO Pet is also inviting investors to join in their mission to grow their services and expand their offerings to pet owners in Malaysia, and eventually to the world.

MyDIGITAL Corp always prepared to facilitate private sector accelerate digital economy

PUTRAJAYA, April 21 (Bernama) — MyDIGITAL Corporation, which has been tasked to deliver the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint national initiative to transform Malaysia into a digitally-driven and regional leader in the digital economy, is always prepared to facilitate private sectors to get involved in government projects in accelerating the digital economy in Malaysia.

Senior manager Haily Hussein said private sector engagement in accelerating the digital economy in Malaysia is crucial as well as the usage of emerging technologies to drive innovation.

However, she said the private sector that has the intention to work with the government might face certain bottlenecks, including policy and regulations.

“Here in MyDIGITAL, we will facilitate them fully, provide a platform to solve issues for policy or other restrictions, if any, that may hinder the project implementation,” she said at MyDIGITAL Catalytic Projects Task Force media briefing here today.

She said the task force has approached several Malaysian technology companies involved in the field of big data, cloud computing and machine learning to invest in future government projects including smart health, augmented education, immersive tourism and digital trade.

“When we (task force) engage with them, we ask what kind of technology they use so that we can understand how comprehensive the use of technology is for that specific project.

“For example, a manufacturing company wants to enhance their business via robotic technology but it requires certain infrastructures (so) we would help to facilitate the private sector to bring in certain equipment to solve the manufacturing companies’ issue,” she added.

104 Rohingya detainees still on the loose – Hamzah

SEPANG, April 21 (Bernama) — A total of 104 Rohingya detainees are still at large after escaping from the Sungai Bakap Immigration Detention Depot yesterday, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

He said as at 7pm today, 424 of the 528 detainees have been re-arrested.

Hamzah said the group had been detained for over two years because the deportation process could not be done as the Myanmar government was not willing to accept them and does not recognise their citizenship status.

“So, where can they be deported to? This is a problem for us,” he told the media here today.

Early yesterday morning a total of 528 Rohingya detainees escaped from the Sungai Bakap Immigration Detention Depot.

Six of them were killed when they were hit by a vehicle while crossing the road at Kilometre 168 of the nearby North-South Expressway.
