Sri Satria: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended the Aidilfitri Open House hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at Sri Satria here today. Anwar, accompanied by his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, arrived at the Deputy Prime Minister’s official residence at 7:57 pm. They were welcomed by Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, along with his wife, Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event, which began at 7 pm for special guests, saw the presence of numerous Cabinet members, including Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, as well as foreign dignitaries. The gathering provided a platform for government officials and international representatives to engage and foster relations.
In addition to political and diplomatic figures, the event was graced by representatives from the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama). Present at the celebration were Bernama’s Chief Executive Officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, Editor-in-Chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief (News Service) Nasriah Darus.
The festivities, expected to draw around 20,000 visitors, were open to the public from 8 pm to 11 pm, allowing the wider community to partake in the celebrations.
