PAC to government: provide SOP for asset maintenance

KUALA LUMPUR, The Parliament’s Public Account Committee (PAC) has urged the government to draw up a comprehensive standard operating procedure (SOP) to maintain its assets for long term use.

This was among the proposals submitted by PAC in its report on the management of the existing facilities development projects at the Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex (BJNSC) which included the Kuala Lumpur Sports City (KLSC), following safety issues raised in the Second Series of the 2017 Auditor-General Report.

PAC chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee said the Malaysia Stadium Corporation (MSC) rightly should allocate adequate funds to meet the cost of maintenance of the complex.
