Labuan: Labuan container port operator, Megah Port Management Sdn Bhd (MPM), hosted its annual Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at the Labuan Liberty Port, bringing together over 1,000 guests from various economic sectors and backgrounds.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this marks MPM’s second Aidilfitri celebration since assuming management of the port. The event saw the gathering of port users, leaders from business chambers, government agencies, and the local community.
A heartwarming highlight of the celebration was the special attention extended to underprivileged students from Kompleks Anak Yatim Darul Kifayah, who were treated to festive meals and gifted with duit raya as part of the company’s commitment to giving back to society.
MPM managing director Datuk Seri Patrick Tiong underscored the company’s dedication to community engagement, saying, ‘MPM’s open house is more than a festive gathering; it’s an opportunity to foster goodwill across all levels of society, and to lend support to those in need.’
