MALAYSIA:THAI NATIONAL KILLED IN MIRI

MIRI, Sarawak state, Malaysia A man of Thai nationality was killed in an accident at Km 98 Jalan Miri-Bintulu at 8.50 pm last night.

Sarawak state Traffic and Investigation Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the incident occurred when the victim Samphan Khamsopha, 44, who worked in an oil palm plantation here, was driving a four-wheel-drive vehicle from Bintulu to Miri.

“Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle driven by the victim crashed into the left shoulder of the road and spun many times, causing the victim to be flung out from the vehicle and died at the scene, he said in a statement here today.
