KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia July 11 (NNN-Bernama) – The Saudi Arabian government will launch the “Guest of Allah” programme in the country of origin on July 14 to facilitate Malaysian haj pilgrims, the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Malaysia said.
The programme would be implemented in collaboration with Saudi Arabian and Malaysian authorities such as the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Haj and Umrah, Ministry of Health, Passport Department, National Information Centre and Civil Aviation Authority.
A team has been tasked with completing all procedures including fingerprinting and passport stamping at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the Saudi Arabian Embassy said in a statement Wednesday.
The arrival and baggage procedures will be done in Malaysia while pilgrims will be given a special entry door upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Putra Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.
Upon arrival, the pilgrims will be taken straight to their residences together with their luggage.
The programme is an initiative of the government of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques under the Pilgrimage Service Programme and is one of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 Programme.
It was successfully conducted on Malaysian haj pilgrims during the last pilgrimage season via two phases involving flights with 75 pilgrims in first phase and 1,600 pilgrims in second phase.
