MALAYSIA: RETRIEVED- BODY OF JOHOR MAN WHO FELL OFF BOAT

JOHOR BAHRU, Johor state, Malaysia May 29 (NNN-Bernama) The body of a 58-year-old local man believed to have fallen off his boat into the sea yesterday was recovered early today.

Johor state Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency deputy director (Operations), maritime captain Sanifah Yusof said Abdul Rashid Padang’s body was found by local fishermen about 0.5 nautical miles off Pantai Pontian Kecil, around 10 am and handed over to police for further action.

A search and rescue operation was mounted at 10.30 pm involving 34 officers and personnel from various enforcement agencies assisted by local fisherman.

Abdul Rashid who was self employed, was heading towards Pulau Pisang alone to look for fruits when the incident happened.NNN-BERNAMA

MALAYSIA: RETRIEVED- BODY OF JOHOR MAN WHO FELL OFF BOAT
