MALAYSIA: POLICE INSPECT FORMER PM NAJIB’S FAMILY RESIDENCE

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia Sept 21 (NNN-Bernama) — The police today conducted an inspection on the family residence of former prime minister Najib Tun Razak at Jalan Eaton here.

The matter was confirmed by his lawyer, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.

He said a team of police officers arrived at the house this afternoon while the prosecution against Najib was in progress at the court.

However, I understand that nothing was seized from the residence,” he said when contacted.

Najib today pleaded not guilty to 25 counts of corruption and money laundering involving RM2.282 billion.

The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court allowed bail of RM3.5 million imposed on him to be paid in stages from tomorrow until Sept 28.
