MALAYSIA: IRWAN IS NO LONGER MEMBER OF CENTRAL BANK BOARD

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) today announced that Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah is no longer a member of its board of directors (BNM Board) by virtue of the fact that he has ceased to hold the office of Secretary-General to the Treasury, effective May 14.(BNM is Malaysia’s central bank)

The central bank, in a statement, said Irwan’s tenure with the board ended on the same date.�
