PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia Former prime minister Najib Tun Razak was called up again today by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to give a statement, reportedly in relation to the probe into the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) debt payments to the International Petroleum Investment Co. (IPIC) case.
Najib arrived at the MACC headquarters at 1.53 pm.
Former Treasury secretary-general Irwan Siregar Abdullah also arrived at the MACC headquarters at 3.25 pm to have his statement recorded believed over the investigation into the same case.
Najib has been called up several times to give statements to assist in the MACC investigation.
He has been charged in court on 32 counts, including for money-laundering.
