KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam have agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations, including through more frequent exchange of visits, said Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah.
He spoke to reporters after Brunei Darussalam Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II Dato Seri Setia Erywan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Mohd Yusof called on him here yesterday.
“We are pleased with the current excellent state of bilateral relations between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, he said.
Saifuddin said the Annual Leaders’ Consultation between Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, was scheduled for the end of this year.
He said he and Erywan Pehin discussed bilateral issues and exchanged views on regional and global issues of common interest to the two countries.
