Lion dance surprise for LRT passengers and 30 special guests

KUALA LUMPUR, Light Rail Transit (LRT) passengers at the Masjid Jamek and Pasar Seni stations here received a pleasant surprise today when they were entertained by a lion dance inside the train.

The 10-minute lion dance performance, accompanied by drummers, was also enjoyed by 30 Chinese orphans from the Charis-Home for Children Kuala Lumpur, who were the special guests of the Prasarana Malaysia Berhad group in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

Prasaran Malaysia Berhad Group chief operating officer (strategy and transformation) Ang Yoke Kee said it was the group’s tradition to bring joy to the unfortunate ones, especially during festive seasons.
