KUALA LUMPUR, The Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM) brought festive cheer to 100 children and teenagers, as well as their caretakers from four different homes during its Hari Raya open house today.
Continuing this yearly tradition, the open house was part of LIAM’s corporate social responsibility programme under the Insurans Hayat Cares community service platform.
The children and teenagers from Rumah Amal Permata Hatiku, Gombak; Rumah Amal Asnaf Al Barakh, Hulu Kelang; Rumah Shalom, Puchong and Rumah Juara, Petaling Jaya also received ‘duit raya’ and goodie bags, courtesy of LIAM and its 16 member companies.
“The festive gathering is a way for LIAM to celebrate the joy of Hari Raya with the children and their caretakers to make them feel appreciated.
We are privileged with their presence to celebrate this occasion with LIAM in the spirit of muhibah, said LIAM president, Anusha Thavarajah after handing out the ‘duit raya’ and goodies bags.
In addition, LIAM contributed in kind such as foodstuff and toiletries to the four homes.
