ALOR SETAR, Aug 26 (Bernama) — A Village Entrepreneur Mini Carnival programme highlighting the unique products of entrepreneurs is one of the special features lined up to enliven the ‘Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia’ (AKM) or Malaysian Family Aspiration Tour at Darul Aman Stadium from Sept 2 to 4.
Executive director of Shared Prosperity Delivery Unit (SEPADU) under the Prime Minister’s Department, Wan Azilawati Wan Mahmood, said the mini carnival was organised by the Rural Development Ministry (KPLB) as the lead ministry for this AKM Tour.
“For the first time, a spiritual forum will be organised during the AKM Tour, featuring Ustaz Badli Shah Alauddin and Ustaz Abdullah Khairi,” she told Bernama Radio in an interview today.
Kenduri Rakyat Keluarga Malaysia will be another exciting event planned during the AKM Tour at the school field of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kuala Nerang on Sept 2.
Wan Azilawati said about 10,000 members of Keluarga Malaysia in the state are expected to join the feast with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and other leaders, including Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.
She said Kedah AKM Tour has also lined up other programmes, such as setting up 27 booths from ministries and agencies to provide direct service to the people.
“Twelve mobile counters of various agencies, including Road Transport Department (RTD) and Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) offering up to 50 per cent discount on summonses,” she added.
The three-day AKM Tour also features the Jamin Kerja Keluarga Malaysia Career Expo, Jualan Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family Sale), Citarasa Keluarga Malaysia and sales by local small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
“We will also hold a Gegaq@AKM Kedah on Sept 3, featuring local artists to entertain visitors. SEPADU will also launch a poverty eradication programme organised by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) and Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) under the Prime Minister’s Department,” she said.
Wan Azilawati hoped the public would take this opportunity available in the various programmes and activities lined up in the conjunction with Kedah AKM Tour to appreciate and understand the government’s noble objectives under the Keluarga Malaysia concept.
