Getting more Indonesians in Sarawak to vote in Indonesian election

KUCHING, The Election Commission of Indonesia is to introduce a more effective approach to ensure a bigger turnout of Indonesian voters in Sarawak during the Indonesian general election on April 17 this year, it was stated today.

Adi Dewanto, chairman of the general election committee to serve Indonesian voters in Sarawak called Panitia Pemilihan Luar Negeri (PPLN) Kuching, said election workers would be deployed to plantations and factories throughout the state where eligible voters were working in order to reach more voters.

“During the previous general election, many eligible voters were unable to cast their votes due to the distance of the voting centres from their workplace.
