Fujitec Co., Ltd.: First Japanese Company To Receive Certification For Maintenance Using Advanced Remote Monitoring In Singapore, A Leading Country In Elevator Maintenance

HIKONE, Japan, Fujitec Co., Ltd. (TOKYO:6406) became the first Japanese company to obtain certification for elevator maintenance using remote monitoring. Fujitec acquired this certification, promoted by the Singapore government, through its group company Fujitec Singapore Corporation Ltd. These regulations are the first of their kind, established in Singapore for the remote monitoring of maintenance in the countless high-rise buildings located in the country to enhance elevator sustainability.

Elevators are a critical part of social infrastructure in Singapore, a country of numerous high-rise buildings to make effective use of limited land area. To this end, the government takes various initiatives to ensure sound maintenance and management, earning Singapore a reputation in advanced elevator maintenance. The government also began pursuing measures to enhance maintenance efficiency and develop careers in response to recent trends in the aging population of engineers involved in maintenance.
