LONDON, Sept. 15, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Heineken® today reveals a new commercial concepted in collaboration with Daniel Craig called ‘Worth The Wait’, which celebrates the highly anticipated release of the new James Bond film No Time To Die. The advert shows Daniel Craig waiting patiently for the first satisfying sip of an ice-cold Heineken® beer, an ode to fans who have eagerly awaited the next installment of the franchise and showing that the best things come to those who wait.

The Worth the Wait film is available here.

No Time To Die will be released internationally in cinemas from September 30 2021 through Universal Pictures International and in the U.S. on October 8 from Metro Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) via their United Artist Releasing banner.

Bram Westenbrink, Global Head Heineken® Brand, said:Heineken® has been a proud partner of James Bond films since 1997. So, like all Bond fans, we also can’t wait for No Time To Die to hit cinemas. That said, we believe some things really are worth waiting for. And now we can prove it. Whether it’s an ice-cold Heineken® or an action-packed Blockbuster – the best things truly do come to those who wait.”

Testing the truth behind the sentiment, Heineken® carried out a real-world social experiment to prove that good things are indeed worth the wait. In the experiment, 115 people were given cold Heineken® or Heineken® 0.0 beer at intervals between 0-30 minutes, showing that people who waited 20 minutes had the highest levels of satisfaction.

Experiment Findings:

Key findings included:

  • Participants who waited 20 minutes showed the highest satisfaction levels with their beer (41%)
  • Participants who waited 30 minutes had the highest satisfaction scores with the taste of the beer (31%)
  • 4 in 10 participants attribute the anticipation of receiving their beer to their satisfaction.
  • More than half of the participants (56%) agree that they enjoy things more when they have to wait for them a little.
  • If participants could choose, they feel that a 6.4-minute wait would be the optimal time to have waited for their beer. However, our research found that satisfaction peaked in the 20 minutes wait group. Implying that instant, or at least quicker gratification, is not as satisfying as people might think

Daria A Bakina, PhD, Social Psychologist and Research Director at Edelman Data & Intelligence, said: “This research follows a long tradition of conducting experiments in the “real world”, under real circumstances, within the field of social psychology. The findings of this study show that waiting may not be a bad thing – in fact, there’s more enjoyment after needing to overcome an obstacle like a 20 minute wait for a refreshing “Perfect Pour.”

Nikkiso Cosmodyne Commissions TGNO-1000 Developed for Float Glass Applications

TEMECULA, Calif., Sept. 15, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries’ Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Group), a subsidiary of Nikkiso Co., Ltd (Japan), is pleased to announce Nikkiso Cosmodyne recently commissioned its TGNO-1000 gaseous oxygen and nitrogen plant. The new plant targets float glass manufacturing and was sold to an industrial gases company.

The Nikkiso Cosmodyne TGNO is a cryogenic oxygen and nitrogen generator designed to produce three gaseous product streams: medium and high-pressure nitrogen gas and oxygen gas. The high-pressure nitrogen comes directly off the nitrogen column at approximately 8.5 bar(g). The medium pressure nitrogen stream comes from the oxygen column overhead and is boosted by a waste stream expander to approximately 2.3 bar(g). The gaseous oxygen comes directly off the oxygen column which runs at an elevated pressure of 2.3 bar(g). All this is accomplished at a low specific power of 0.27 KW/Nm3

The TGNO-1000 was configured with mostly preexisting components to meet the developmental needs of this multi-product plant. This allowed them to meet the stringent goals of their industrial gas customer, who is selling the molecules to the float glass customer. The plant also operates without an attendant, so can handle fluctuations in product demand without human intervention.

The prefabricated TGNO is delivered in pre-piped, pre-wired, easy-to-install modular sections. The chiller, adsorber beds, switching valves and turboexpander are mounted in a single skid, minimizing field work. The control room module houses the motor control center and required analyzers.

“This is Cosmodyne’s most recent effort to supply cryogenic systems and plants which allows our industrial gas customers to develop their market and compete effectively, according to George Pappagelis, President of Cosmodyne Process Systems. “The TGNO-1000 was a collaborative effort among our operations in the US (Escondido, Seal Beach and Temecula) and India.”

Nikkiso Cosmodyne has extensive experience with liquid merchant plants as well as on-site gas plants like the TGNO-1000.

ABOUT CRYOGENIC INDUSTRIES
Cryogenic Industries, Inc. (now a member of Nikkiso Co., Ltd.) member companies manufacture engineered cryogenic gas processing equipment and small-scale process plants for the liquefied natural gas (LNG), well services and industrial gas industries. Founded over 50 years ago, Cryogenic Industries is the parent company of ACD, Cosmodyne and Cryoquip and a commonly controlled group of approximately 20 operating entities.

Tomorrow Retail Consulting Appoints Daryl Porter to Lead New Global Omni Operations Division

Featured Image for Tomorrow Retail Consulting

HONG KONG, Sept. 15, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Tomorrow Retail Consulting has announced the launch of a new Global Omni Operations division to be led by international retail executive Daryl Porter. The launch comes as retailers face increased pressure to strengthen their omni-fulfillment capabilities by improving productivity while expanding capacity. Most recently, Porter was Global Head of Stores for Anheuser-Busch Inbev. Previously, Porter was Vice President, Omni-Channel Operations for Walmart Canada.

Tomorrow Retail Consulting was founded in 2019 by Jordan Berke, former Vice President of e-Commerce for Walmart China. Since then, Berke and team have focused exclusively on digital retail – guiding digital growth strategies, channel development, omni assortments and retail media monetization at some of the world’s largest retail brands. Now, as retailers across the industry are facing pressure in the wake of labor shortages and rising wages, the company is launching their new omni-fulfillment division.

“Daryl is one of the most well-respected leaders in the omni-channel space. His hands-on experience engineering profitable omni-operations at major international retailers means he understands the unique opportunities and challenges our clients are facing,” said Jordan Berke, Founder and CEO, Tomorrow Retail Consulting. “We are absolutely thrilled to have him join our team.”

Porter started his career pushing carts and went on to manage operations at Walmart’s largest stores in Canada. Later as Vice President, Omni-Channel Operations, he spearheaded the retailer’s expansion of Online Grocery across the country. Here, Porter launched the Urban Online Grocery Strategy and helped Walmart become the first national retailer to launch native home delivery operations in all Tier 1 Canadian cities. He also pioneered a Walmart Canada delivery operation that was based out of a small footprint, semi-automated e-grocery facility. Porter negotiated the retailer’s strategic partnership with Instacart, designed and brought to market remote pickup sites and launched store pickup at more than 400 locations. He would eventually run an e-Commerce supply chain in its entirety, having responsibility for all fulfillment and last-mile operations. Most recently, Porter was Global Head of Stores Anheuser-Busch Inbev, the world’s largest brewer – leading their 15,000 stores and helping engineer their digital transformation.

“The team at Tomorrow Retail Consulting has helped create many of the most successful and most profitable omni operations in the world,” said Daryl Porter, Senior Partner, Global Omni Operations, Tomorrow Retail Consulting. “I am delighted to work alongside this talented group to help drive digital change for retailers worldwide.”

Tomorrow’s unique value proposition is their people – Porter joins Tomorrow’s elite team of experienced digital retail executives from Walmart, Target, Kroger, and other successful omni brands.

Tomorrow is truly an outstanding partner in the digital retail area,” said client Oskar Hjertonsson, Founder and CEO of Cornershop, now owned by Uber.  “Bringing a talent like Daryl Porter onto the team further enhances Tomorrow’s position as a leader in omni strategy and operations.”

About Tomorrow Retail Consulting

Tomorrow Retail Consulting was created in 2019 from Founder and CEO Jordan Berke’s inspiration that retailers globally need guidance on how to turn their digital capabilities into a core advantage. After spending more than a decade launching and leading e-Commerce for Walmart in China where e-Commerce – and digital retail overall – was approximately five years ahead of most developed markets, Berke observed how Walmart and other retailers in China transitioned to a truly digital-first mindset – transforming stores from retail-only facilities to true omni-channel fulfillment centers. During his time with Walmart, Berke and team helped bring digital innovation into the physical store experience, through mobile checkout and personalized in-store digital platforms. They opened dark stores across the country and scaled rapid <1 hour delivery while most retailers were in the early stages of their omni evolution.

In 2019, knowing the retail world outside of China was ready to focus on digital, Berke launched Tomorrow Retail Consulting, a firm dedicated to making digital a core advantage for retailers around the world. Tomorrow Retail Consulting is based in Hong Kong with teams in the US, Canada, and China. For more information, visit https://tomorrowretail.com/

New study from Potential Project reveals the leaderships qualities that can improve employee job satisfaction by 86%

The study of 2,000+ leaders found that positive leadership qualities can also help increase employee job performance by 20% and commitment to an organization by 61%

Featured Image for Potential Project

NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Potential Project, a global research, leadership development, and consulting firm, has revealed the first of six installments of The Human Leader study, which provides analysis and insight into how company leaders can improve employee productivity and satisfaction in their work environments during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pandemic-era stresses have contributed to what many are dubbing “The Great Resignation”, with more than 4 million individuals in the U.S. resigning from their jobs in April 2021 alone, and 74% of employees expressing at least some burnout in their current jobs. Growing dissatisfaction with the workplace has also led to a record-high number of unfilled positions, with many employers struggling to attract top talent.

Company engagement has been shown to be the biggest deciding factor for employees evaluating whether to stay with their current employer. In Potential Project’s The Human Leader study, the company partnered with academic researchers at Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School, U.C. Berkeley, the University of Toronto, and the University of Amsterdam School of Business to analyze critical attributes that constitute a new model of leadership, including:

  • Wisdom: The courage to be transparent with others and to do what needs to be done, even when it is uncomfortable.
  • Compassion: Care and empathy for another person, combined with an intention to support and help.

The survey, which included more than 2,000 participants across junior through senior levels from more than one dozen industries, found that employee job satisfaction increased by 86%, job performance increased by 20%, and burnout improved by 64% when company leaders leveraged these qualities.

“Today, more than ever before, employees are seeking jobs that provide both meaning and well-being. Coming out of the global pandemic, companies cannot afford to neglect the mental and emotional health of their workforce, and business leaders are challenged to maintain productivity while providing the care and support for their teams to thrive,” said Rasmus Hougaard, CEO of Potential Project.

Potential Project’s North American Director Jacqueline Carter added, “Our research finds that in this new era, the strongest leaders are those who manage through wisdom and compassion, bringing a sense of humanity to the workplace that helps employees feel like their best, full selves.”

Expanded findings from this study form the basis of a new book Compassionate Leadership: How to Do Hard Things in a Human Way. Co-authored by Hougaard and Carter, the book highlights ways business leaders can demonstrate compassion in the workplace, and the impact this can have on engagement and morale. The book will be published on December 14, 2021, by the Harvard Business Review Press and is now available for pre-order.

Embrace the Malaysian Family spirit, public servants told

— Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali has called on the country’s civil servants to embrace the spirit of the Malaysian Family in organising strategies to revive the economy and restructure the country to transition from the COVID-19 pandemic into an endemic phase.

He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has ordered each Cabinet Minister to focus on six key performance indicators (KPIs) which will be evaluated within 100 days of government administration.

The KPIs are restructuring the economy; ensuring national security and order; improving social welfare; upgrading overall infrastructure; strengthening integration in the Malaysian Family mould and empowering the delivery of services.

“As public servants, we are shouldering the hopes and expectations of the people and to ensure these KPIs can be implemented with excellence,” he said in his opening remarks in conjunction with the webinar on the “Role of the Public Service in the Country’s Development” held virtually today.

On August 22, Ismail Sabri in his inaugural speech as prime minister introduced the Malaysian Family approach urging the people of various religions, races and ethnicities to help the nation recover from the current economic and health situation.

Malaysia is expected to transition into the endemic stage of COVID-19 by the end of October.

In efforts to develop the country, Mohd Zuki said civil servants must practise ethics and integrity to establish public service that is efficient, effective and highly regarded by the people.

“The civil service is the backbone of the government’s administrative machinery, especially in the delivery of services to the people,” he said.

Mohd Zuki said “Faith to Serve” should be a commitment of public servants so that the responsibilities entrusted upon them can be carried out with sincerity as well as with open and positive minds.

He also urged public servants to provide excellent services that are guided by five main principles based on the elements of togetherness, interactions, dynamics, dedication and cultivating integrity.

He added while the civil service is going through a new norm with the implementation of the Work from Home arrangements, civil servants must remain committed and focused on delivering services to the people and implementing government policies at the grass-root level.

He said the FASTER principles or flat, agile, streamlined, tech-enabled, efficient and resilient must be adhered to so that government agencies can work openly and flexibly and be sensitive to current needs and the wishes of various stakeholders, adding that all government policies and initiatives should be implemented efficiently and effectively by employing digital and latest technologies.

Meanwhile, Mohd Zuki said no one would have thought that a pandemic such as the COVID-19 could change the way we think, work and manage the country.

“In fact, none of us is experienced in facing such a dynamic economic, social and political situation as it is today.

“Alhamdulillah, we in the public service managed to rise above all the hardships and challenges,” he said.

Sufficient stock of driving licence, road tax disks at RTD, Puspakom, Pos Malaysia, MYEG until year end

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 — The Road Transport Department (RTD) has given an assurance that its stock of Malaysian Driving Licence (LLM) and Motor Vehicle Licence (LKM), as well as the remaining stock owned by its strategic partners, are sufficient.

In a statement today, the RTD said the stock of controlled documents owned by PUSPAKOM Sdn Bhd (PUSPAKOM), Pos Malaysia and MY E.G. Services Bhd (MYEG) was also sufficient to meet the needs of all customers until Dec 31.

“In August, the RTD supplied a sufficient stock of controlled documents to all RTD strategic partners, including a total of 450,000 pieces of LKM car disks and 8,400 pieces of motorcycle LKM disks as well as 6,600 LMM to MyEG.

“Pos Malaysia received 385,000 pieces of LKM car disks, 287,999 pieces of motorcycle LKM disks and 300,000 LMM, while PUSPAKOM was given 5,500 stocks of car LKM,” the statement said.

According to RTD, as of today, the remaining stock of RTD controlled documents was still sufficient for the purpose of covering the need for renewal or transaction of LKM and LMM at all premises of RTD’s strategic partners.

At MyEG, there are still 100,827 stocks of car LKM disks, 10,843 motorcycle LKM disks and 26,648 LMM, while Pos Malaysia has 365,518 car LKM disks, 142,871 motorcycle LKM disks and 789,274 LMM while PUSPAKOM has 11,950 car LKM disks.

The statement also said that RTD director-general Datuk Zailani Hashim today made a surprise visit to the Sri Kembangan Post Office in Selangor to observe RTD operations and transactions and other aspects of distribution and supply of the LKM and LMM document stocks to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
