KUALA LUMPUR, U Mobile is teaming up with Microsoft to launch GoOffice voice, a data and office application package in its bid to tap into the small and medium enterprise (SME) segment.
U Mobile’s chief marketing officer Jasmine Lee said the mobile telecommunication service provider had been very focused on its consumer business previously and is now keen to tap on the new segment among the SMEs, startups and micro-businesses.
“We realise there is a big opportunity here (business segment) because of the now more than seven million U Mobile customers, 70 per cent are millennials.
“Among these users, some are keen to do their business either on Instagram shop, hijab or food businesses, she told reporters after launching GoOffice here, today.
Lee said there are also opportunities for U Mobile on the small size-online media, travel agents and publications to support their on-the-go operations.
“Malaysia is also a hub for regional business and many Malaysian companies expanded regionally. So roaming is important when they are on-the-go,” she added.
With a price of RM238, GoOffice bundle features– Microsoft Office 365 Business, one principle postpaid line with unlimited voice and data and two supplementary postpaid lines with an unlimited voice as well as 6GB high-speed data.
The package also includes Roam-Onz data, which enables roaming in 12 destinations.
U Mobile welcome distributors interested to be resellers for the package, adding that at the moment, there are 50 locations nationwide providing support for Microsoft Office, said Lee.
