15,000 expected at Royal Museum Aidilfitri open house

KUALA LUMPUR, The Muzium Diraja ‘Rumah Terbuka Malaysia Aidilfitri 2019’ will be held on June 21 from 10am-10pm and June 22 from 10am-6pm, with the organiser preparing for a crowd of 15,000 people.

Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry secretary-general, Datuk Isham Ishak, said the event is aimed at fostering unity and is a government initiative to energise the tourism industry and acquaint tourists with the country’s arts and culture.

At a pre-launch today, he said there will be lots of activities including an interactive programme where people will learn how to make classic Hari Raya dishes like rendang and lemang, as well as performances by popular artistes like Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Haqiem Rusli and Asmidar.

He said shuttle buses offering free rides to Muzium Diraja every 15-25 minutes will be available at the Muzium Negara MRT station.
