Bulacan police, Comelec ready for filing of COCs

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – The Bulacan Police Provincial Office and Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday held an ocular inspection at The Pavilion of the Hiyas Convention Center here where the filing of the certificates of candidacy (COCs) for the upcoming 2025 National and Local Elections will be held starting on Tuesday.

Col. Satur Ediong, Bulacan provincial director, and Bulacan Provincial Election Supervisor, lawyer Mona Ann Aldana-Campos, assured that the week-long filing of candidacies will be peaceful and orderly.

The filing period is from October 1 to 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“The purpose of the inspection was to ensure that the venue is well-prepared to accommodate the expected candidates and to verify the implementation of security and logistical measures to maintain order throughout the filing process,” Campos said in an interview.

Ediong, meanwhile, emphasized the importance of coordinating with the Comelec and local government units.

“I assured that the Bulacan Police Provincial Offic
e would be on full alert during the period to provide assistance and security as part of its commitment to safeguarding the electoral process,” he said.

Ediong said the provincial police, in coordination with Comelec and other relevant agencies, will continue to monitor the venue and implement necessary security protocols to guarantee a secure environment for candidates and the public.
